Dell to Acquire Boomi; Adds Industry’s No. 1 Integration Cloud™ Solution to SaaS Capabilities

Clouds Surrounding Dell's Cloud Acquisition Clear Up: Boomi

Not a slow news day.

In addition to Oracle’s billion-dollar acquisition of e-commerce veteran ATG, Dell quickly put an end to game of “Guess Who?” that started when founder and chairman Michael Dell reportedly mentioned at a Hong Kong event last night that his company had already made an acquisition in the cloud-computing space.

Riddle resolved.

Boomi, a cloud-based provider of data-integration services, was just revealed as the acquired party, with no terms disclosed.

Minutes after the news hit the wires, Boomi.com promptly crashed, leaving the company with a message for any visitors.
