This video reminds me of a guy I used to work with doing helpdesk. He always start all of his questions with “Let me ask you this…” It was funny and annoying at the same time. I always wonder what if the user said “No” to his “Let me ask you this” phrase.
It also made me think of one of my pet peeves: service reps reading from a script. It’s bad enough that they have answering services that use voice prompts to be more human-like, but once you get to a human, you get a robot-like human.
